I'm still alive!!! :)

As you might have noticed, I'm incredibly lazy! But I decided to let you know that I'm still alive and I'm still gonna bother you with my blogs. Maybe... :D
So, I'll try to remember what I have done the last two weeks, which is not so easy... And not because I'm drinking.. because I'm not.. :p
I'm a nice student and I go to all the lectures. Well, actually because they are compulsary. My lecture schedule is different every week. Sometimes I have 8 hours of lectures per day, sometimes it's totally free. Not that I'm complaning but just don't get it.. :D I finally had to start studying - meaning that I had to make write a report and make a presentation. And I also gained my first team work experience here which was not that positive at all. One hour before the presenation, the teammate who had the most important part, announced that he has not written anything and he's not gonna present anything! I was quite not happy with the situation, so were my other teammates. But we did the presenation and even managed to get 2!!! Which is not fail as Ilze thought.. :p but the second best out of five! :)
We had a really interesting lecture in Economic Areas where we were discussing the US mortgage crisis and I was kind a talking a lot because I really like this topic and I have read about it quite a lot. Now, my coursemates think that I'm smart which I of course am.. :D
And I'm also smart in the course Financial Management. While other exchange students are complaining that it is SO difficult, for me it's kind of easy after Finance. Some of them even asked my help, so now I'm officially the finance guru.. :D
We had the small and the BIG school opening party. I can't remember what I did in the small one anymore.. :D but the big one was just two days ago, so I can still remember that it was cool! The place was very big (although smaller than Essential :D) and it was full of students from our school. I danced a lot and talked a lot.. :) in German and I must say that my German has improved considerably. Here you can also see some nice pictures... :)

The next day I had lectures for 8 hours! I think I was sleeping half of the time... :D
In the meantime, my family came to visit me for 3 days! So, I had an opportunity to visit some places for the third time, not to spend my own money, get some Latvian cheese and honey and of course see them all!!! :)
The thesis proposal deadline is also approaching incredibly fast! My dear thesis partner Bubitta is going away for 9 days and so am I for 5 days and when we return, we have 6 days to write it. But luckily we have managed to agree on the topic, so it's not so bad after all! :)
Tomorrow I'm going to Villach to visit Egle! And it's gonna take me 6! hours to get there... But Austrian trains are really comfortable, so it's gonna be ok! :)
All in all, Austria is really nice, I really enjoy being here, people are very friendly and the nature is so beautiful! But one thing I really don't like - Austrians blow their noise SOOO loud!!! :D

P.S. Information for the person who wrote a comment to my first blog but unfortunately did not leave his/her name.. 1) I do not wear short skirts here because it's cold, because the streets are not suitable for wearing heels and because nobody does! 2) I do not wear too much make-up because I just don't do that!

Conquering Germany

On Friday I put all the stuff in two bags and went to the train station. Then, after enjoying 1.5 hours of beautiful Austrian landscapes, I had arrived to a place called Wels. There I met half of my teammates who speak a weird Austrian dialect and had at least twice as much bags as I had and we started our journey to Germany. About the time we got to the border, it started raining extremely heavily. But WE were going to a Frisbee tournament and nothing could stop us.. ;) In the place were it took place (small town close to Nuernberg) I met the other half of my teammates who spoke even more terrible Swiss dialect. But I could cope with that because my teammates were from the national junior teams of Austria and Switzerland. And I could also cope with them smoking weed all the time.. :D So, the next morning we started with two very close losses to the teams that in the end got the first and the second place, but the other two games we won. In the evening there was supposed to be a party. But when at 11.30 nothing much was going on, we went back to the place we were sleeping and my teammates were getting ready for the next morning games by smoking incredible amount of weed.. :) But that turned out to be a good strategy since we won the three games that we had the next day and in the result we got the third place and we were the only junior team there! Well, of course you would think that I didn't have much to do with the fact that we won, but actually I must tell you that you are seriously mistaken. I was the strategic point of the team as I was diverting the opposite team's attention by wearing shorts when everybody else was wearing long trousers because it was kind of cold, ok, it was freezing.. But I'm from that small country where it's snowing all the time, so I had to keep up our image.. :)
It was my first tournament and I'm extremely happy about it! Well, you just have to experience it to understand how cool it is.. :p
The journey back was also interesting. I got to the train station where I was supposed to take another train to Krems, but they were doing some construction works and I happened not to find the platform where I had to be and to miss the last train. I already pictured myself sleeping under the bridge, but then this one extremely kind old guy offered to take me to Krems although he didn't even live there. And after an hour when I was already in my warm bed with my fish :) and my not silent Mexican neighbours arrived, it turned out that they had a similar story. Well, you just have to admit it - Austrians are really nice people!!!
Now, I'm back in Krems, going to lectures and trying not to fall asleep. Yesterday I had 6 hours of lectures.. And today all the day is free. No, no, I'm not complaining.. I can work a little bit (I'm so naive :D), plan my Christmas holidays, go to a teammeeting and then to Vienna!
Well, that's about it for this time.
